Hi! I’m Cassi, the maker behind Hooked by Cassi, a small crochet business I recently started after more than 20 years of crocheting. I first learned to crochet during a long winter when I was living in Minnesota. What began as something to pass the time, quickly became a hobby I’ve loved ever since.
I live in Bend, Oregon with my two kids. My main job is working in education as a literacy teacher, dyslexia specialist, and private virtual tutor, helping students build confidence and skills in reading and spelling. Crocheting has always been a creative outlet for me outside of my teaching work.
My favorite color is yellow, and I especially enjoy making plushies. I started creating them for my daughter, and they quickly became some of my favorite projects. All items are handmade with care, and special orders are welcome by request.
